Your mission: what can you expect from the job?

As an Observability Engineer you'll be joining the Digital Service Intelligence-team. We empower business to gain actionable insights into their operations through comprehensive technology monitoring, application insight services, and digital business cockpit solutions. As an Observability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our Service Intelligence offering by ensuring robust technology monitoring, building and maintaining backend tools, and providing valuable insights for our clients to make data-driven business decisions.

Key activities:  

• Maintaining the Use Case Library to support the Service Intelligence offering.
• Designing, developing and maintaining frontend and backend tools for effective service monitoring and analysis.  
• Mapping the full business context of our clients, integrating security, operational, and strategic elements.
• Developing internal and external reporting dashboards, including SLA reporting, to provide actionable insights.  

Key responsibilities:  

• Technology Monitoring Service: You'll implement and manage service monitoring solutions, focusing on performance and health monitoring for infrastructure and networking layers. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive horizontal monitoring coverage.  
• Application Insight Service: You'll develop and maintain an overview of all IT and business services to provide holistic visibility and control. You'll analyse the impact of IT services on business services, offering insights to optimize performance and mitigate incidents.  
• Digital Business Cockpit: Providing strategic insights and transform guidance to facilitate data-driven business decisions. You will also analyse trends and company performance evolution to support migration and business transformation initiatives.  

Is it me you’re looking for?  

• You have a strong background in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.  
• Affinity with big-data platforms (e.g. Splunk) is more than an asset.  
• Experience with any of the following is an absolute must:Javascript, Python, React, …  
• You communicate in Dutch and English (both written and oral). French is an asset.  
• You are a problem solver. As a team player with a positive attitude, you are always ready to challenge and to be challenged.  
• You have strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• You're experienced (min. 3 years) in building and maintaining monitoring solutions in a dynamic environment.
